The southern province of Haiti has been massively affected by the earthquake. In particular, in the municipality of Saint Louis du Sud, where ASB has been working with its partner organization CAPSL (Coopérative Agricole de Saint Louis du Sud) since 2016
Thousands of people have been left without a home following the earthquake that struck the coast of Ecuador on Saturday 16th April. ASB has immediately deployed staff and resources to the affected areas to provide immediate emergency assistance.
The ASB was founded in 1888 and is a non-profit, non-governmental, apolitical and non-denominational organization. The ASB is today one of the leading civil protection and welfare organisations in Germany. It also provides rescue services, first aid, emergency medical assistance, social care for the persons with disabilities, the elderly and children, and care for refugees.
