Nothing about us without us! Under this slogan, ASB and the Federation of Associations of People with Disabilities in Nicaragua (FECONORI) have now signed a partnership agreement 2016-2019.
During 4, 5 and 6 October 2016 the Regional Induction and Planning Workshop was held, which initiated the project financed by the German Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development.
As the inclusion of disability in DRR was one of the 3 panels of this GNDR meeting, several members of the RED GIRDD LAC: RIADIS, ONG Inclusiva and ASB, were present at the workshop.
The guide, whose development has been led by the Nicaraguan Federation of Associations of People with Disabilities (FECONORI), was presented publicly on June 28, 2016.
The programme will benefit 22,275 people who have been severely affected by drought in Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador and Nicaragua, who are in a situation of food insecurity.
Thousands of people have been left without a home following the earthquake that struck the coast of Ecuador on Saturday 16th April. ASB has immediately deployed staff and resources to the affected areas to provide immediate emergency assistance.
