Territorial Forum "Climate Justice and Drought Resilience for representatives of the State and Civil Society".
The last day of September of the current year, the territorial forum "Climate Justice and Drought Resilience" was held as part of the coordination of the "Food Security for Affected Populations in Central America" program implemented by the Center for Human Development (CDH), in coordination with the National Advocacy Board for Risk Management (MNGR - Honduras). The forum was attended by 50 representatives of civil society organizations from the municipality of Choluteca, Honduras.
The forum provided a space for dialogue among civil society organizations in relation to the local, regional and national environmental agenda on issues such as climate variability and climate change, and their effects. The purpose of this was to establish priorities according to the context, to position alternatives aimed at environmental and climate justice in Honduras with a focus on women, youth and vulnerable populations, with a drought approach.
The establishment of priorities at a national level, result of this territorial forum, will be presented at the regional forum “Centro América Vulnerable, unida por la vida” (Vulnerable Central America, united for life), where ASB, through the program “Food Security for Affected Populations in Central America” funded by the BMZ, is collaborating.
